Business Services
Business services are the non-financial, non-physical activities that businesses use to run and maintain themselves. Companies providing these services include advertising, consulting, research, market analysis, facilities management, travel and logistics, waste handling, staffing, shipping, and other administrative functions. Companies operating in the Business services industry often require highly skilled employees, and many of these jobs have specialized qualifications or licensing requirements.
While some of these services are customer-facing, others are not, and the business services industry focuses on improving internal company operations as well as enabling other companies to better serve their customers. For example, software services enhance features and upgrade security for a company’s technological devices.
The industry is also expanding in emerging markets as economies grow and companies increasingly seek to outsource their less valuable or time-consuming tasks. The growing global demand for these services is expected to drive revenue growth in the industry over the long term.
