Relationships 101
Relationships is a word that describes a close bond between two people. There are many types of relationships, including friendships, family, and romantic bonds. These close bonds can be based on mutual trust and support, shared values, regular interactions, security, and a sense of community. There are also different ways to show someone how much you care about them, such as through acts of service and quality time.
In a relationship, you can count on the person to be there for you and to care for your needs. But you also have to be able to take care of yourself and keep your own identity separate from the relationship. Healthy relationships are balanced and involve equal amounts of giving and taking.
For example, you may spend a lot of time with your significant other but still have friends outside of the relationship. It’s important to maintain your own personal life and friendships, so that you can have a good support system when you need it. However, you also need to make sure that you and your significant other are able to spend time together without feeling jealous of each other’s other relationships.
People often hear that relationships take work. And they do, but it’s not necessarily hard work. Think of it as something you enjoy or find rewarding – like a hobby, or a school project that you’re really psyched about. It can be a challenge at times, but the rewards are worth it in the end.
